#Hyped: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, SpiderMan HomeComing + Justice League & GOTG2.

LESS THAN 10 DAYS TO GO TILL ROGUE ONE IS RELEASED – we talk A Star Wars Story plus SpiderMan Homecoming & Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

It’s nearly here! At the time of writing there is only 9 days to go till the first standalone LucasFilm ‘Rogue One; A Star Wars Story’ is released – and I, for one am #Hyped!

We get to see Jyn Erso played by Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) and the Rebel Alliance battle the Empire to steal the plans to the Ultimate weapon of destruction – The Death Star.

Although a standalone movie in its own right, we do get to see a familiar face in Darth Vader – and we wait in anticipation to see how big a role, Vader will get in the movie.

It has also been rumoured fan favourites R2D2, Princess Leia and even General Akbar may also feature? How true any of these rumours are however, remains to be seen.

Being a new rendition of the franchise; it’s the new characters, planets and how it all entwines into the Star Wars galaxy that gets me most #Hyped!

How the new character’s feature in the movie is going to be interesting and how they retrieve the Death Star plans minus any Jedi’s present, leaves me intrigued.

Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale and Doctor Strange) plays Galen Erso, Forest Whittaker (The Last King of Scotland) as Saw Gerrera, Donnie Yen (IP Man) as Chirrut Imwe and Diego Luna (The Terminal) as Captain Cassian Andor are some of the more familiar names to star in this film.

Alan Tudyk (Serenity) plays the role of the accompanying droid to our band of rebels, comprising the role of K-2SO and from what we know already – SPOILER: He’s a reprogrammed Imperial security Droid now loyal to the Alliance! A refreshing-take on one of the many ‘must haves’, in a Star Wars movie.

Finally, alongside Vader, Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rise’s) plays our main antagonist as Orson Krennic.

The more I see of the trailers, the more sinister his character is portrayed and I cannot wait to see how he compares to Wilhuff Tarkin from Episode IV. Will Tarkin even have a CGI cameo somehow?

I must admit, when I first heard about the ‘spin off’ movie, I was sceptical. Now, however, the more I see of the trailers, the more I see director Gareth Edwards has captured the true essence of the original movies and the cinematography looks great.

Though we get new planets, new characters aplenty and even new Storm Troopers in this movie, the AT-AT and X—Wing battle scenes look truly epic. The obvious yet vital inclusion of Vader is a masterstroke, whom is voiced by original actor James Earl Jones.

The fact we know how this ends makes for an interesting finale and though we have the ‘Erso’ family reference alike the SkyWalkers before them, I’m eagerly anticipating to see how Edwards brings this all together.

Roll on 16th December #Hyped.

It is official- according to the officalTwitter page of Marvel’s SpiderMan, SpiderMan Homecoming – first official teaser trailer is to be aired on the Jimmy Kemmel show tomorrow night; 8th December!

This coincides very conveniently with the upcoming release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so we must be expected to see it in theatres very soon upon the release of Rogue One right?

Apparently at a recent Comic-Con in Brazil, said trailer was screened featuring Tom Holland’s SpiderMan in scenes with / featuring Shocker and Michael Keaton’s The Vulture.

If the above link is anything to go by, we can at least expect Holland and Favreau to be streaming across the InterWeb (see what I did there!) even more crazily from tomorrow.

Just a few days ago Marvel Studios released their latest teaser Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and you can watch the trailer below.

Star Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Yondu, Nebula and of course Baby Groot return and feature in this new trailer. Once again the sound track rocks and the special effects look awesome, notable by the opening sequence of the reel, where the Guardians are battling a giant tentacle beast aka the multi-dimensiional being that is Abilisk.

The new trailer sets the comedic tone to the movie and is mainly focussed on Rocket and Baby Groot and the bloosming romance between Peter Quill and Gamora.

We do get to see a few new character’s including who I believe to be Mantis?

Sly Stallone and Kurt Russell are also rumoured to feature in the movie and no doubt future trailers will feature one or the other sooner rather than later – expect a SuperBowl trailer for that one!

I’m sure at least one of the above trailers must feature prior Rogue One screenings from 16th December – we wait in anticipation.

Justice League trailer to feature in Rogue One?

Zack Snyder likes to tease via social media with Justice League footage and none more so than this recent image he posted on social media site Vero, got DC fans #Hyped:

The above picture is from BatMan v SuperMan Dawn of Justice but the Kryptonite Spear wielded by the Dark Knight in the movie, seems to have been replaced with a red light Saber!

Rumour has it the first official Justice League trailer will debut with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Being Disney/ Marvel – GOTG2 and SpiderMan Homecoming are more likely but if we get to see all three trailers prior Rogue One – what an early Christmas present that would be!

Enjoy Rogue One People – and whatever sneak peaks of next year’s releases come with it: #Hyped
