Betting was suspended across the country today on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte being the next manager to get sacked in the Premier League.
Our CRB-VIP football reporter can confirm the rumours are true.
Due to player unrest, billionaire chairman Roman Abramovich will turn to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba to take over in a player manager roll until the end of the season.
Didier Drogba will end his contract with Montreal Impact with immediate effect to begin his third stint at Chelsea Football Club.
In an exclusive interview Drogba stated with a smile:
“I am delighted to return to Chelsea and honoured to be player manager. I will focus on returning the team to former glories and will only play when the team needs me, except for when we play Arsenal and Manchester because, we all know I love to score in those games!”
Our Chelsea insider let slip:
“It’s not official just yet but expect an announcement in the next few days. Roman let his mafia connections aware of the upcoming news, hence the flurry of bets being put on Conte getting sacked this morning. If Didier does well, he may get the job full time. We are going to take our time, before we name a permanent successor.”
Other names in the frame are Sam Allardyce, Marcelo Bielsa, Laurent Blanc and former European Cup winning manager Roberto Di Matteo.
CRB-VIP will keep you updated with all the developments at Stamford Bridge, when we hear them.
